"i saw this at a private screening and i must say that it is one of the best films i have ever seen." SandraFan2 - Tue Jul 26, 2005 12:12 am Post subject: Name changeThey were viewing the rough cut of "Have You Heard?"
This name may change again.
I liked the title "Every Word is True" myself.
Yet, after reading George Plimpton's book, which this movie is based on, the new title "Have You Heard?" does makes sense.
The book is centered around Truman Capote's whole life. He was a childhood friend of Nelle Harper Lee. Both grew up in Monroeville, Alabama. Nelle accomplied Truman in his first two months when they were investigating the Kansas murders. She broke the ice for Truman with that closed Kansas community. Reporters had huried into that community. The book goes on to describe the rest of Truman's life.
It consists of a series of short interview by Truman's friends, detractors and others about his life. SandraFan2 - Tue Jul 26, 2005 12:55 am Post subject: Have You Heard?
According to IMDb message board on July 19, 2005,
"Jeffrey Wells who writes the hollywood-elsewhere.com column has read both scripts and said that the Every Word Is True/Have You Heard? screenplay is considerably better than the Capote screenplay."
